Industrial construction needs to provide maximum lighting for internal work spaces by exploiting natural sunlight, which is why windows made with interlocking polycarbonate systems are essential to obtain translucent surfaces that last over time and are resistant against UV radiation and hail. Furthermore, to promote correct air recirculation, it is sometimes necessary to insert openable frames integrated in the fixed infill wall, maintaining the same type of panels both for the mobile window and the fixed surface, for visual continuity and aesthetic appeal. The roofs of many depots/warehouses/factories are characterised by the presence of sheds, which are a valid alternative to skylights, as they allow for uniform and diffused natural lighting in indoor environments. Interlocking modular systems with multiwall polycarbonate panels are recommended for this application too.
