What Is Polycarbonate

Polycarbonate is a high-performance thermoplastic polymer, known for its exceptional combination of properties: impact resistance (up to 250 times greater than glass); lightweight (less than half the weight of glass); very high transparency and light transmission; dimensional stability even under extreme weather conditions; long-term durability thanks to advanced UV-protective treatments; thermal insulation performance when used in multiwall or modular systems.

These characteristics make polycarbonate one of the most widely used materials in contemporary construction, particularly for translucent roofs and façades, professional greenhouses, industrial applications, sports facilities, and public infrastructure.

    Multiwall polycarbonate

    Featuring a multi-layer structure, it delivers excellent thermal insulation, lightweight performance and high mechanical strength. It is ideal for roofing, industrial façades, skylights, verandas and greenhouses.

    Solid polycarbonate

    Glass-like transparency combined with exceptional impact resistance and maximum protection. Perfect for safety applications, canopies, balustrades, industrial glazing and projects requiring outstanding robustness.

    Modular polycarbonate systems

    The most advanced evolution of the material: our arcoPlus® systems deliver high performance, fast installation, aesthetic continuity and premium solutions for façades and roofing with strong architectural value.
